I'm inviting my clients to recycle their wedding gown by using the dress once again, post wedding, for a bespoke personalised portrait shoot with me. Wedding dresses are beautiful, a lot of time and effort goes into choosing the perfect dress, and they're probably one of the most important garments you'll ever purchase. I think it's a shame that after your wedding day, your dress will most likely be carefully packed into a box and stored away where you might pull it out from time to time to reminisce, it's unlikely you'll wear it again.
I would like to change that. As an award winning fine art photographer, one of my greatest passions is creating unique contemporary portraiture. This can be a classical portrait, but my work does also branch out into portraits which are based on illustrative led narratives, there are no limits to what my imagination can dream up.
We begin by discussing your ideas; what kind of portrait you'd like and where you'd like the location to be. I am open to all ideas and they can be as formal or a whacky as you like! Really, there's nothing I can't create, so just let your inner child and imagination run wild, be inspired! Weddings, by nature, are a formal affair, using your dress post wedding for a creative contemporary portrait shoot will give you a chance to have some fun with your dress without the pressures of the big day.
Following the shoot, I personally undertake all professional editing and postproduction of your masterpiece at my design studio. The resulting photograph will then be mounted and framed for you to keep as part of the package.
If 'Recycle Your Dress' is something you'd like to be part of, please contact me for more details and pricing.
