WEDDING PRICING

Quite simply, my bespoke days come in two choices, full or half day cover. Booking me for the full day is recommended, as it's the only way I can document the full story, right from the early morning getting ready preparations, through your entire day, until just after the first dance.

• Half day up to 5 hrs £790
• Full day up to 10 hrs £1150

(A second photographer can be made available if required, this is recommended with some larger weddings to ensure full coverage from all angles. Add £750.00 Full Day/ £250 Ceremony/ £350 Ceremony & Speeches). Please ask me for more details.

• Pre-wedding/ Engagement (e) photoshoot £185

• Extra hours beyond the first dance £50 per hour

I never clock watch! These hours are just a guide to give you an idea of the full/half day scenarios.
Please see the 'Your Story' link above for more information on booking a pre-wedding portrait session.

The Great British Weather!

We all know how unpredictable the weather can be in the UK, but we won't let anything get in the way of capturing the best photographs possible of you on your big day!

Believe it or not, there is such as thing as a double umbrella, and yes, I do have one, just incase! If we know the weather is going to be against us, I also come prepared with a portable studio lighting kit, which can be set up discreetly at your venue depending on venue capacity. With your permission, I'll happily arrange this with your venue hosts prior to your reception date should it look like we might be in for a wet day.  With a professional lighting set up on hand I'm able to produce beautiful magazine style photographs, so we'll have indoors covered as well as outdoors... come rain or shine!

Albums & Books

I offer a range of professionally designed wedding albums & books, these range in dimension, layout & finish. These are all bespoke and are priced individually. I can go through the options available, then you can decide if you’d like to pre-order any of these to be included in your package. I have found that many couples prefer to organise an album for themselves, which is why I don't add this on to the base price, so you’re not forced into having something you don’t really want.

I also offer a selection of parents, relatives and friends books. These range from small pocket momentums for friends with selected photographs from  your day to larger books, designed specifically for parents and relatives of the bride and groom, these have more photographs within the design. Please ask me for details, I can show you samples of these when we have our pre wedding meeting, and these can be pre-ordered then.

Printing & Framing

I am more than happy to organise your wedding prints for you. I always use a professional lab in London to do all my printing, this includes professional large format archival printing and canvas printing. I have a full price list available, please ask when booking for more details.

All my framing is done locally and usually comes in three choices of colour, Black as standard or white or natural wood. The frames are contemporary box frames as illustrated above. I am happy to source other examples for you on request should you require a different style.  Please ask me for more details.

FINDING THE PERFECT WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Beware of Imitations! Wedding photography is not regulated within the photography industry and in this digital age pretty much anyone can set themselves up and claim to be a wedding photographer. I can offer a little bit of friendly advice regarding searching for a photographer and making that critical choice.

Firstly, don’t be seduced by the low prices offered by some photographers. There is probably a very good reason why they are cheap, and you will only get what you pay for. Photographers who are worth what they cost are not afraid to charge the going rate and beyond. Professional photographers, as opposed to amateurs, have much higher business overheads than you might realise. Factors that are included in fees are equipment purchase and hire, including duplicate kit in the event of technical failure on the day; purchase and maintenance of computer hardware & software, as well as insurances and years of training and development in the field. Also included in your fees are local travel costs, the endless hours of searching through and editing 1000's of photographs, and designing your wedding books. You can also expect to pay that little bit extra for certain other factors, for example, if the photographer is an award-winner, or if the photographer is accredited.

While it is not essential, I would recommend choosing a photographer who has a recognised industry qualification from one of the leading photographic institutions, such as, The Societies (SWPP), The British Institute of Professional Photographers (BIPP), Master Photographers Association (MPA) or The Royal Photographic Society (RPS). Accreditation by these institutes is only awarded when a panel of experts has assessed the creativity, competency and technical excellence of the photographer's work. A photographer with a qualification from any of these institutes is more likely to have consistently demonstrated photography of a highly creative nature and have excellent technical ability.
A more detailed example and overview of current professional qualifications can be seen here.

Any photographer worth their mint will have their own unique style, and you won’t find two professional photographers with the same creative vision. The style of photography you see on a photographer’s website/book is going to be the style of photography you are going to be paying for. Don’t book a traditional wedding photographer and expect to get contemporary photographs or vice versa. Don't assume every wedding photographer will have the aptitude to shoot a winter wedding, some won't, don't be afraid to ask.

Always choose a photographer who is professional and friendly, who listens, and who is accommodating to your requirements. Ask for a contract that outlines everything your wedding photography package will include in respect of coverage, timescale and delivery of the final product and also what cancellation policies apply. Always ensure your photographer is insured with full public liability insurance.
