I see beauty in all landscapes, not restricted to the beauty of our open countryside, I also find the urban environment equally as exciting, visually. My background in graphic design has a definite influence on the way I view my surroundings whilst exploring urban expanses. Although I have lived in cities on both sides of the globe for many years whilst working, I never really felt at home there; even though cities are flooded with people, they can often also be one of the loneliest places on earth. Where there are people tripping over each other, you struggle to find that pocket of peace and quiet and calm. My contemporary works are based around the search for quiet where in reality it doesn't exist.
